The lumber package has been delivered and it's now time to start framing the interior space for six bedrooms, each with their own half-bath, the lounge area and the shower room.

Exterior Stairs Built

There were some existing "railroad" square log stairs that needed to be replaced with a NEW staircase and handrails.  A great big shout out to framer Dave, from Spann Construction, and his assistant Willy, for doing a fabulous job on the stairs!!!

Handrails were added on both sides and then a nice finish stain was added to the wood.

Landscaping Work

Things are staying busy on the outside of the log cabin, too!  Many of the trees and bushes were overgrown and needed a good trimming.  We removed two large Green & Clean dumpsters filled to the brim with trimmings.

We even had to rent a chipper to fit it all in the dumpsters.  Chase and Vivek figured out how to "counter-weight" the chipper, when repositioning it, by having Alex stand on the back side.  The chipper was much easier for the boys to lift and roll.

Our GREAT helpers in Chase Madsen, Vivek Patel and Alex Yancey!

The Messy Part

Alex and Vivek worked hard to open up trenches to place the plumbing and ventilation in the floor.

Time to Rebuild

It's time to get plumbing to six bedrooms and a shower room.  That requires us to cut the existing concrete to put everything in place.  This is what that looks like.
