Log Cabin Exterior Restoration

The exterior of the cabin is being restored to its original glory.
The old finish is removed by blasting surfaces
with crushed walnut shells.

Accumulation of the fine walnut blasting material.

 Some of the log ends had begun to rot
and needed to be replaced.

 

 The rotted logs were carefully removed by a highly trained

restoration specialist using a chain saw.

The new Douglas Fir log is scribed and cut to fit

perfectly into the cleaned cavity.

 After all the rot is repaired and all the surfaces
walnut shell blasted, all surfaces are then hand sanded.
Every square inch!
